Yep...It's a montage. Nicholas was standing alone in the pic I know and that it is posted here in those same forums.   And Alexandra is picked from the "group family photo" posted above, but without Anastasia.

Its from a little book about the Hl. Magdalena Church in Darmstadt, what was build for money of The imperial Family (see in The Hesse- Darmstadt topic about alix childwood homes)

This drawing was edited in the newspaper "L'Illustration" in 1901, when the tsar and the tsarine were in Compiègne (France). They were in the imperial box of the theatre in the castle of Compiegne (the box of Napoleon III and Eugenie)   .  
From left to right : Mme Narischkine, M. Loubet (the french president), Alexandra, Nicolas II
Mme Loubet and Mme Waldeck-Rousseau.
