I think the Aussies won the rugby against the French...

So that's it. Australia vs. Uraguay=LOSE
Australia vs. England= LOSE
Australia vs. The Silver Ferns(NZ)=LOSE
Australia vs. New Zealand(hockey)=LOSE

Where is our pride, peoples? We used to be so good at these sports. Now it seems that we are not.

A couple of solutions:

George Gregan and Eddie Jones should retire

That Dutch coach should start making the Socceroos win.

Liz Ellis should miraculously heal and come back and captain us(netball)

Don't know what to do for the hockey....

All of these are impossible, I know.. ::)

Hey everyone

I am Melbourne, born and bred!  I live in Canterbury to the east of the city.... Melbourne, BTW, is the 'place to be', without doubt.  In the last 4 years I think we'v been teh most livable city in the world, this year we had to share the glory with Toronto.

James

Hi James,

I lived in Doncaster East for about 10 years and one year in Mont Albert, before moving north to Canberra.

We were practically neighbors it seems! I used to drive down Canterbury Road from the city, avoiding the Whitehorse Road traffic.

Yay...a Romanov luver was near me.... I went to mont Albert Primary, an dlive just off Canterbury road (near Kylie Minouge, lol)

Why did u move to Canberra?   I went to look at the ANU when I finished school, and apart from the Uni which was nice, I refused too...It was so dry and lacked character (maybe because its a baby in city years)....I cant live anywhere that isn't close to the sea.

James

PS- I think it might be a capital city thing...I got the same vibes from Washington DC...

Australia can still qualify for the World Cup if they win on wednesday in Sydney against Uruguay, the home ground and supporters will help. Opal.

As anyone see the BBC series Fall of Eagles, in Australia we are Zone 4, you need a multi ntsc DVD player for overseas DVD'S, it has not been released down under. I remember it was on channel  7 or 9, in the late 1970.s I bought the accompanying book for the series, a pretty good book, and has never been repeated on television. anyone bought their copy, overseas and how much did it cost in Aussie dollars including postage. and is worth watching. Regards, Opal.  ;)                                                                                              Empire of the Sun.  Steven Speilberg movie 1989 has finally been released in Australia, based on a true story, starring a young Christian Bale   ;)

There's two Australians set to face the firing squad in Vietnam. There's also an Australian man in China who was arrested in May last year--set to face the gallows. You are right--when will we learn? We must learn that being Australian does not mean that we get away with everything. Well, that might not apply in Michelle Leslie's case.
