You speak about children of Count Alexander Dmitrievitch Sheremetev - Elizaveta (1884-1962) and Georgiy (1887-1971). The photo of Elizaveta with her parents you can find at the 1st page of this thread.

Also the photo of the Sheremetevs here :

I thank you so much for your answer, can you give me some more information about their lives?
Where did they live? where did they die?...... Or if you know one place or one book where I can find something.
Apologize me if I ask you but you seem to know a lot of things!
Thank you again for your help.

There is a book in Russian about the Sheremetevs but I don't have it unfortunately.

Countess Elizaveta was married thrice : 1st husband Count Zubov, then a von Derfelden, and then Prince Achille Andronnikov.
Count Georgiy was never married.

I'll try to find some more info on them.

Here I have to correct my info on Count Georgiy Sheremetev. What I've found on him was really fascinating.

Count Georgiy Alexandrovitch Sheremetev (1887-1971) was an office of cavalry, took part in WW I and the Civil War in Russia after the 1917 Revolution.
In the 1950s  he became a priest and afterwards the Archpriest of London's eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church. He was a confessor of GDss Xenia Aleksandrovna, who also lived then in England.
He made verses and translated into English some orthodox theological books.

And actually he had a wife! In 1910 he married Princess Ekaterina Dmitrievna Golitzina (1889-1936) and they had 2 children: Alexander (1911-96) (with descendants) and Ekaterina (b.1913)  who became the citizens of the USA.

I thank you so much for the news about George, they are very interesting.

I'm going to send you a photo representing young George, it was taken in Russia, I don't know who is the other man in the photo, does anybody know him?
Do you know where did George's sister Alexandra live and die?
Thank you again.

Alexandra was firstly married to her distant relative from a poor branch Sergei Sheremetev who in emigration called himself "Sheremetev-Stroganov" without any right for such family name. They divorced after 1917 year obviously and in 1920 Alexandra married in Istanbul Alexander Nikolayevitch Fermor (1886-1931) who later was a military trainer in the Abissinian Army. They both are buried in France, at famous St-Genevieve-de-Bois.

In 1900s, the Sheremetev Palace  (Fountain House) was used as Cultural Center and office of many trusts of Sheremetev Family. Then where did the Sheremetev family live? is there a second Sheremetev palace?
They    were   originally   a   family   from   moscow   cfr    ostankino     kuskovo

As has been mentioned in some other threads (but perhaps properly belongs here) there is an excellent book recently published by Douglas Smith (the author of The Pearl, a biography of the famous Praskovya Sheremeteff) entitled Former People which describes the history and tragic fates of the Sheremeteff and Golitsyn families at the hands of the Bolsheviks.  It's a very good read and has won several awards.

I believe I recall that in the Smith book, which I have not finished, the family Meyendorff(Meiendorff) was mentioned through references of Mme Stella Whishaw Meyendorff(the actress Stella Arbenina). Possibly she had married the son of Hélèn Mayendorff(née Shouvaloff) who was the grandmother of my late friend Alexandra Teploff, eventually from New Jersey USA.  I would like to know if Mme Meyendorff's book (Through Terror to Freedom, Hutchinson, 1929) is available in any library in the NYC area and/or where it could be bought and/or as a reprint. Thank you.
