Archduchess Elisabeth Marie spent the summer of 1901 at Traunkirchen with the family of Duke Philippe of Württemberg. There were rumours that she would marry one of his sons ... As Albrecht married in 1893 and his brother Robert married in 1900, Elisabeth's possible husband-to-be must have been Ulrich. But Elisabeth loved Windisch-Graetz and Ulrich never married.

Interesting. I have read that it was Robert who was seen as Elisabeth Marie´s possible fiancé.

Ilse Feller/Eberhard Fritz: Württemberg zur Königszeit. Die Fotografien des Herzogs Philipp von Württemberg (1838-1917), Stuttgart 1990 is a good book in which you can find many photos of the family.

A photo of Marie Therese- [http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Maritheresaustria.jpg]

I found this out about  Marie Amelie (1865-1883) of Württemberg and Marie Elisabeth (1899-1900). During the period when Marie Amelie died there was a smallpox epidemic in the area. So I found a hint in one book that she maybe died of smallpox.
Marie Elisabeth died of fever. There is nothing more said in my antique book about it, only that she suffered from an inflammation of the middle-ear one week before she died. These illnesses were very common in those times and even my Great- Grandmothers firstborn son died of it.

Marie Amelie (1897-1923) died in labour (is the term correct?). That s all I know, but I search for a photo of Wilhelmine.

I m looking for information and photos on Nadejda (1899-1958) of Württemberg. Mainly photos. She was the wife of Albrecht, Count of Württemberg.

Marie Amelie was unmarried, right? Who then was a father of her child? And did a child survive?

Have you seen Nadejda's early photos (when she was Tsarevna of Bulgaria)? There is a lot of phoros on-line I believe.

Marie Amélie died because of lung disease in 1923. Maybe you confused her with her sister in law Helene, who died in the same year after having given birth to her daughter Marie Christine?

Well, I kept in mind Helene (who died in 1924) but just wanted to check up the facts  :). Who knows...

BTW, Linnea, do you have any info or picture on the Duchess Wilhelmine (1844-92) ? :)

I just checked my "dictionnary" on the Württemberg family and was rather shocked because it doesn´t show more information on Wilhelmine than "Wilhelmine married the half-brother of her father on 8th may 1868. The marriage remained childless." :( She lived in Silesia (Carlsruhe) with her husband and is buried there.

Well, I have not mixed up or changed Marie Amelie and Helene- my book did. It says that Helene died of a lung disease. ;)
Sorry.

A rare picture of Marie Elisabeth (1899-1900) ... The photo could have been taken on her deathbed.
