Tatiana Nikolaevna - Queen Astrid of Belguim, Grand Duchess Marie Adelaide of Luxembourg, Adriana Lima

Nicholas II. - George VII. (You have never heard of this, have you? ;))

Alexei Nikolaievich- Prince Luitpold of Bavaria (1901-1914)

KR- looks like my historyteacher  ;D

Can you think of more Romanov-look-alikes? :)

Queen Astrid of Belgium resembles Tatiana; same exotic look.
And Prince Luitpold of Bavaria, woah!!! Twins!! Him and Alexei both lived until they were 13.  :'(

Hmm..yes I'd say that Grand Duchess Marie Adelheid looks like GD Tatiana Nikolaevna. I'd have to add Crown Princess Antonia of Bavaria(her sister I think) looks like dear Tanya. The same exotic looks..well, Marie-Adelheid and Antonia WERE the daughters of a Portugese Infanta.... ;)



I see Zita of Austria(nee Bourbon-Parma) in Tatiana too...

I just realised that Marie Feodorovna ressembled her granddaughter Maria Nikolaievna ALOT!!

GD Kimberly commented that she resembled Tatiana. I agree, if you look at her face long enough--it took me two glances ;D

That's quite alright, as you referred to me as the colourer. ;) Anyone is allowed to use my coloured(not to re-colour or anything like that) pics just as long as I get a reference.  ;)

I do think Prince Luitpold and Tsarvitch Alexei could be twins. How closely were they related? Because all European royals had some blood in common. ;)

They were not closely related, but both had Hesse(-Darmstadt), Württemberg, Mecklenburg-Strelitz etc. blood. Some ancestors they shared:
- Karl II. Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1741-1816), father of Queen Luise of Prussia (Alexei´s great-great-greatgrandmother) and of Duchess Charlotte of Saxe-Altenburg (Luitpold´s great-great-greatgrandmother)
- Friedrich II. Eugen of Württemberg (1732-1796), both Luitpold and Alexei´s great-great-great-greatgrandfather, as he was the father of Maria Feodorovna, Tsar Paul I.´s wife and of Duke Ludwig of Württemberg

So Alexei and Luitpold are "cousins". ;)

Thanks for the reply it informed me, they did share a resemblance. I had never heard of Prince Luiptold before I got on this thread. :o
