Painting of the then Infanta Catalina(that's what the BOOK says!)...crappy scan, so it might be a bit "distorted.."

The portrait Kira posted has been identified both as being Catalina's and Juana's. I personally think it's Juana, because the style is much similar to that that was being used in Flanders and it was probably painted in the early months of her marriage to philip of Austria.

So it's Juana? Okay. :) If anyone would like the portrait removed, let me know. :)

Just to complicate matters, I believe Ferdinand and Isabella employed Flemish painters at their court.  So, the Flemish style of the picture isn't necessarily evidence one way or the other.

true but look at other portraits of juana and other portraits of catherine... i don't know about you, but i can see a definite resemblance between that and some portraits of juana while i don't think there's any portrait of catherine that looks even remotely like that.  just look at the nose and lips in the portrait of juana that i posted and then look at kira's portrait... not to mention the look in her eyes...

I agree with Ilyala, it looks more like Juana!
