I could not find this family listed in either Volume 3 or Volume 4 of the Noble Houses of the Russian Empire.

Mdivani
are a  nobel from Georgia but not princes.

I think that Alexis Mdivani`s mother was Elisabeth Viktorovna Mdivani , who was a wife of major- general , fligel-adjutant Mdivani.
Elisabeth Mdivani meet 1914-1916 many times by Rasputin .

David_Pritchard:
I examined the book Dvoryanskie Rody Rossiiskoi Imperii, 4-m Tom, Knyazya Tsarstva Gruzinskogo (Noble Houses of the Russian Empire, Fourth Volume, Princes of the Kingdom of Georgia) by Grebelsky, Chikovani & Dumin, published in 1998, for signs of any Princes Mdivani. Under the heading: The Tavadian Families of the Kartli, Kakhetia, Imertia, Guria and Mingrelia Recognised in the Dignity of Princes in the Russian Empire, no Mdivani was listed.
