Until today I never took note of this dreadful thread. It is a new low point for the Forum.

Shame on all those who instigate and participate in such idiocy and bring discredit onto this Forum.

Whether or not you believe in guilt through association, this behaviour is embarrassing and reflects badly on all of us collectively.

David

By the same token David, I think your arrogance, disdain and often bullying attitude reflect badly on the forum as a whole.

I am in full agreement with you. I do not like having to constantly play the role of disciplinary parent on this Forum but you and your fellow playmates leave me few options other than to leave the forum forever. I would much rather correct the problem then abandon the Forum. Why is it that you and your peers seem compelled to turn this Forum into your private sand box? If I am a bully then I have not been a very successful one now have I, as the sand box crew continues on its destructive path unhindered, undeterred and as vacant and pathetic as ever.

Please don't speak for me  in "all of us collectively".  I find alomost every topic on this site, insightful, amusing and sometimes just plain fun.  By the way, why do you hold us in such disdain?

Okay, let's all play nice.

Yes, David's tone can sometimes be rather brusque and/or sarcastic. He does have valid frustrations though--ones that are shared based on what turns up in private communications to moderators. We are trying to walk a line here. For those who don't like these kinds of threads, the best thing is to just avoid them. I would also ask that our posters be aware of the mounting frustrations on the part of their fellow Forum members--which is causing a number to leave or just lurk--and try to understand. For all, I would remind that a civil tone is requested and that individual concerns be confined to PMs.

I find it amusing to be lumped in with the 'sand box crew', having never participated in any of the 'Alexi is so cute' threads. To begin with, this particular board - 'the Discussion Board' has no real purpose, so has been turned by a number of members into a place where we can get to know each other better and (God forbid!) have some fun. I'm sorry that it seems to irk you so much. What you don't seem to realise, however, is that it is not your place to tell others on the forum what they should and should not post. You say you play the role of a 'disciplinary parent' on the forum, and yet no one asked you to - you appointed yourself to the 'position'. Personally (and I'm sure many would agree with me) I would be perfectly happy to desist with threads like this if asked to do so by the FA or Bob Atchison, because this is their forum.

There are plenty of threads on this forum that I think are silly. There are plenty of posts that I think are pure spam. But I don't say so, because it's not my place to tell people what they can and cannot post. I think in another thread tsaria mentioned that she likes to 'live and let live' - unfortunately you seem incapable of doing so.
