The girl is Maria. Here you have a close-up of her face where you can see it a bit clearer, although the quality is not the best:

Thanks Larri! I was quite sure, but still! Thanks!

Re Post # 242:  IMO, I believe that this photo (Post # 238) is from an apparent series of World War I era photos that feature the related screen/panelled/partitioned background and is mentioned in "Aleksei Photos III," Replies # 285 and 286."  It certainly does not seem to be a "palatial" location, and is most likely at Stavka, which of course would be relatively spartan in comparasion. Notice that the Heir is in a "nightshirt-like" garb ( #238 of this thread) and playing on his camp-bed ( # 283 of "Aleksei Photos III), apparently in "light-hearted" moments.  Conceivably, these photos were taken by his "room-mate," his father the Emperor.     Regards,  AP.

Does anyone have an idea about the year in which this pic was taken? I can't even recognize the girls for sure... are they really OTMA? I'm a bit astonished O_O

Anastasia, Maria, Tatiana, Olga.

I think nena is right about the date. This photo may have come from one of the Yeltsin library albums, which I believe was dated to 1908.

One of Alix's sisters is there, I believe Irene,  so had to be during a visit of hers. 1908  sounds right as they are slightly older than the playing on the deck film  of 1907 .  Sarushka  had the right OTMA order of course .... it was quite a family  studded occasion...., Sunshine Aunt and husband, Uncle Michale as well as Alix's sister were there. I wonder if Alix took this

Nicholas, Aleksej, doctor Derevenko, an officer (?) and... Anastasia? She looks like her, the face and expression, and even pose, but why is her hair up?

In the picture are OTMA, their father, Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna with her husband Duke Pyotr Oldenburg and Grand Duke Michael Aleksandrovich. I can't recognize that woman next to him, but I wouldn't say it's Irene.

It's Maria. And the officer is Sablin.

Because Maria started wearing her hair up in 1914, which is the date the photo was taken, in the early summer, I'd say. (At the some sites I found it labeled as 1915, Peterhof). I wonder about the place as well - was it Finland, Peterhof, or somewhere else?

I later recognized Sablin, but i was pretty sure it was Anastasia... uhuh i was totally wrong! But stil i can't see Maria's face. I think I'd better look at it later, just to clearupmy mind!
Thanks both of you!
