Marriage in 1871 of Wilhelm zu Wied and Marie princess of the Netherlands in the church of Wassenaar near The Hague. Marie`s mother and sister died shortly after each other before Marie married (the wedding ceremonies had been postponed for that reason). On the right of the bride and groom you can see the father of the bride prince Frederick of the Netherlands, queen Sophie and King William lll and grandduchess widow Alexandrine of Mecklenburg Schwerin (sister of Marie;s mother). On the left you can see prince Henry of the Netherlands, prince Albert of Prussia (son of princess Marianne of the Netherlands), prince Willem (son of King William lll), prince Alexander (son of King William lll), princess Amalia of the Netherlands (wife of prince Henry) and princess Alexandrine duchess of Mecklenburg Schweri (born princess of Prussia and daughter of princess Marianne of the Netherlands).
