I noticed the remarkable resemblance too when I photoshoped the famous portrait with the exactly same pics Shammy just posted. Here´s the result:

Oh, she really is looking like her great-grandmum! Thanks for making that photoshopped version, Ally ;-)
Thank goodness, Tatiana didn't inherit her great grandmum's sicknesses.

It's true... I think that from Anna Petrovna on, all of the Romanov rulers married german consorts. And even more important in this particular case is the fact that both Maria Alexandrovna and Alexandra Feodorovna were descendent of the Hesse-Darmstadt house, so the probabilities of Tatiana inheriting their looks was even greater.

And there were similar looks spread throughout all the Darmstadt descendent. Look at Princess Theodora of Greece:

It's a really curious thing!  :)

Curious? After all they were related in some ways at least, why should it be curious? =/ ...

Do you know what color were Maria's eyes? Perhaps Tatiana also inherited the eye color

You mean Maria Alexandrovna's eyes? As far as I know, they were blue-gray as well. I'm not 100% sure though. =/

I've seen Tatiana referred to as the prettiest of OTMA according to men but what are the sources for this?
Any quotes available?

Many of the coutiers' memoirs mention Tatiana's looks, and how they contrasted with her sisters'.

Gilliard:
The second girl, Tatiana, was eight and a half. She had auburn hair and was prettier than her sister, but gave one the impression of being less transparent, frank, and spontaneous.

She was very pretty, though she had not quite Olga Nicolaievna's charm....Through her good looks and her art of self-assertion she put her sister in the shade in public...

Buxhoeveden:
Tatiana Nicolaevna was to my mind prettier than her sisters. She was taller even than the Empress, but she was so slight and well-proportioned that her great height was not remarkable. She had fine, regular features, recalling pictures of ancestresses who had been famous beauties. She had dark hair, a rather pale complexion, and wide-apart, light-brown eyes, that gave her a poetic far-away look, not quite in keeping with her character.

Dehn:
She was very tall, and excessively thin, with a cameolike profile, deep blue eyes, and dark chestnut hair... a lovely Rose maiden, fragile and pure as a flower.

Vyrubova:
Tatiana was almost a perfect reincarnation of her mother. Taller and slenderer than her sisters, she had the soft, refined features and the gentle, reserved manners of her English ancestry....Certainly she was a different type from the others even in appearance, her hair being a rich brown and her eyes so darkly gray that in the evening they seemed quite black.

It is interesting to note that 3 of the quotes mention Tatiana's eyes, but call them 3 different colors (light brown, deep blue, and dark gray).  Could she have had hazel eyes?

"Who's the prettiest" has indeed come up many times over the years. However, in this case Mechminx asked for specific sources and quotes relating to Tatiana's beauty. So please, let's keep our discussion limited to that and avoid the age-old beauty debate.

I would like to know that too. Guess they were somekind of grey, dark in the evening when there is just a bit light around and also easily be regard as blue from afar.

Yes. I've read in different sources  thatTatiana had blue, grey or hazel eyes. But that's not odd when you are al old reader of biographies...Some books claims that Queen Isabel II of Spain had black eyes, when other states she had blue eyes...Of course the ones who saids she had black eyes are crazy or almost crazy , since all her photographies and close ups shows her with very clear eyes, most likely in a beatiful shade of blue, as most of her family had. In Tatiana's case it's harder to say, since her photos and close ups shows a girl with clear eyes, but hazel eyes are clear as blue eyes are. and you can't exactly said what kind of eyes she had from a black and white pic... But the weirdest think it's that contemporaries seems to have seen her with different eyecolours...Oh, my!!!
