They may have played tennis on the standart,etc. Perhaps they were afraid of the ball falling in the water, but they no doubt had plenty of replacements, and they were probably careful.

They often took day excursions on land during their summer cruises. I've seen photos of the GDs lounging on blankets spread over grass in those same hats & dresses. Perhaps they were from the same day?

The only people I think I can recall is Ania V, Anastasia, Tatiana, Nicholas, Ernie, Maria and Olga. I'm not sure about the others. The funniest part is the guy who's lying on Nicholas's lap - I think it could be Grand Duke Dmitri P. And is that Alexandra at the top row in the white outfit and hat? Does anyone know what year it is there?
