I really like this picture, does anybody know if they are more pictures taken from that day??

This was taken in Germany in 1910. I've seen a big group shot with a lot of family members from what I believe is the same visit, but probably not the same day because OTMAs' dresses are different. Probably Sarushka or someone has more photos.

This could *possibly* be the same visit. http://www.alexanderpalace.org/romalbum/gallery.html?sku=5

Here's the full set...Peterhof, 1913

These are one of the coolest photos I've seen of them! Thanks for these, Sarah! I just can't see Tatiana's hands on the piano.

Amazing colored fotos  by the most wonderful Yelena Aleksandrovna. Endless thank you very much!

Do you know where that pic was taken? I'm debating between Livadia, Ropsha or Peterhof. :)

IF visited Livadia in 1902, so it seems unlikely to be taken there, especially if photo is said to be taken several weeks after Anastasia's birth. I agree with Tsarskoe Selo/Peterhof.

There are more pictures from the days and Anastasia is definitely more than few weeks old.

Livadia makes sense if the Imperial Family stayed there in 1902.
I'm just saying because the background behind the carriage reminds me of a picture of the Imperial Family at Livadia in 1893/1894 with their retinue.

You're quite right - an infant that young wouldn't be able to hold her head up yet!

In the Winter Photos thread, I've seen a couple of photographs which show OTMA wearing the knee-length Russian boots ("sapogi").

I wondered if there were any more of them dressed like this?

Welcome to the Forum. I've merged your topic about "sapogi" with this one. Such questions don't need a new topic to start, otherwise we would have here topics about hats, trousers, coats, underwear or such like.

As I looked through these fotos here, I notices one thing: the length of the dresses of the GD's diversify a lot. At first, I just thought, there was a lenght for the youngest (to the knees) and the eldest (to the ground), but now I see, there is a lot between. For example pics from Tatiana or Maria, when they were about fourteen, the dress did not reach the ground but was even longer than in their former fotos. I guess, it was, because they were no children anymore and should have get demure and modest, wasn't it?
Does anybody know, how many variations have been "normal"?
