I just wanted to say how sorry I am to know that the imdb.com discussion boards will be closed in a few days. I'm sure many of us came to know many things about movies from those boards. They may say it's for the best but personally I do not feel the same about any of facebook or twitter platforms. Wish they would reconsider!

I call the IMDB boards Troll Central for a reason.

The lack of moderation of those boards allowed them to be infested with racists, homophobes, and even pedophiles.  I've seen posters there get attacked for their nationality, sexual preferences, you name it.  One movie thread was hijacked by some sicko who went on to describe doing things to little kids that I will not repeat here.

The trolls were allowed to run free at IMDB and turned those boards into a cesspool.

I, for one, am not sorry to see them go.
