The King is very close to both of them, I don't know who is his favourite sister, though. Doña Pilar is very bad-tempered, but she is also a very intelligent and amusing person. Margarita is very intelligent, an accomplished musician and a very sweet woman.

María del Pilar Alfonsa Juana Victoria Luisa Ignacia de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Borbón, infanta of Spain and duchess of Badajoz, was born on July 30th, 1936, in Cannes, France. She married on May 6th, 1967, Luis Gómez-Acebo y Estrada (23/12/1934, Madrid- 9/3/1991, Madrid). They had 5 children: Simoneta (b.1968), Juan Filiberto (b. 1969), Bruno (b. 1971), Beltrán (b. 1973) and Fernando (b. 1974).

Margarita María de la Victoria Esperanza Jacoba Felicidad de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Borbón, infanta of Spain and duchess of Soria and Hernani, was born on March 6th, 1939, in Rome, Italy. She married doctor Carlos Zurita y Delgado (9/10/1943, Málaga) on October 12th, 1972. They have 2 children: Alfonso (b.1973) and María (b. 1975).

Not almost, but completely! I will look up if she is blind from birth or if her blindness was caused by an illness. I think, however, that she is blind from birth.

The late Countess of Barcelona, in her memoirs, which are simply fantastic, spoke quite candidly about doña Margarita's disbality.

The Infanta was born with a vision impairment.  She sees shadows, nothing more.  Yet she is able to speak in seven or eight languages!  The late Countess also mentioned that Margarita was not treated any differently than the other children.  In fact, she remembered how the Paris kids, the children of the late Count and Countess of Paris, always helped Margarita whenever they were climbing walls, trees and even o the roof of their house!

I just want to say that Mr. Zapatero's wife is a very beautiful woman!  :-* :-* :-*

She may be beautiful (I'm not going to comment), but she didn't wear a bra to the wedding of the Princes of the Asturias, and recently she was photographed attending a private dinner in Lanzarote at the summer estate of the King and Queen...wearing flip-flops! OK, they were expensive, well-made and made of leather...but they're still flip-flops! Es que quien no sabe estar....

On the Duchess of Soria, as has been already pointed out, she is also Duchess of Hernani. However, the Soria title will revert to the crown when she dies, as will her sister's, who is Duchess of Badajoz for as long as she lives. However, when Margarita dies her son Alfonso Zurita y Borbón will inherit the Hernani title, as she inherited (through rather strange genealogical traces though) years ago from a minor branch of the Bourbons (I believe the descendants of the Infante Sebastián Gabriel).

Infanta doña Margarita inherited the title of Duchess de hernani from her kinsman the late don Manfredo de Borbón, who also possessed a phenomenal art collection.

I would like to know more about His Excellency Juan Filiberto Nicolás Gomez-Acebo y de Borbón (born December 6, 1969), Vizconde de la Torre.  He is the son of Infanta Pilar of Spain, Duchess of Badajoz, and the nephew of Juan Carlos I of Spain. Does anyone know if he is single or how to contact him? (No I' am not looking for a date) I just want to know more about other extended members of the Spanish Royal Family and what his role exactly is.

He has no role within the royal family.  He is a nephew of the king and attends family events.  But he is a private citizen, and works for a living.

Juan is one of the four male children of Infanta Pilar, and he is the only one not married. As far as I know, he was dating with Gabriela de la Rosa, daughter of a famous businessman who has been jailed for years. But the relationship between Juan and Gabriela ended a few months ago. So, he is single.
As Marlene said, he has not a public role. He attended the family events, but he is a member of the family of the king, not a member of the royal family...it´s not the same thing ;)
