Anastasia a nun?

 I have alive withness who claims that Anastasia was a nun in a Monastery near my town.This Monastery is well known by the Russian refugees,who find their salvation in becoming a nunts there,and spent their lives adicted to God.The reson i belive in this version is because my withness is nun in the monastery at this time,and she couldn't lie.She is in the 80 years of her life,and she  claims that she have a picture of Anastasia,like a nun.
 Anyway,there is a problem.We could never find out was she or she wasn't a nun,because,by my oppinion,her grave is near the Monastery,at the chirchess land ?!?

Many who escaped did end up as nuns or monks, I think they were so disturbed by what had happened that was how they dealt with it. I have never heard this of AN, but, hey, at least it's a new one. I am so tired of AA. I still like hearing mysteries and theories, as long as they are fresh, interesting, and haven't been proven bogus. Thanks for posting, let us know if there is any more on this.

Actually,i do have something more.I want to open an investigation,but the withness refuses to talk with journalists and investigators.Even if she finds out that this story has become on surface she will deny any claimant.She is old and ill now and she will die soon i guess,so i have to hury with getting informations of her.If she suspects in me,she can stop talking to me.She is not in very good conditions so she is not talking much.I'll do my best.

Somewhere I have heard this story before. Of course the priests and nuns protected this special person and still do, always will. Don't expect to get too far in all your questions. They will at some point just stop talking about it out of respect and the perpetual protection of her memory.

I don't think the old nun lies. She tells what she knows and what she believes. That is honest.  The real question is how much truth is there behind these beliefs?

It would make sense to me that many who suffered during the revolution would have spent the rest of their days in convents and monasterys. Especially those who had reason to want to leave the public life. The revolution did terrible things to people's pyche as well as their souls.

I am quite sure that some "special" young lady came to that convent needing to work out her life and experiences in privacy. How she came to be known or thought of as the Grand Duchess is the real question here. I tend to be more than skeptical. I am more willing to believe that the executioners did a very complete job of it, no one survived. It doesn't help that bodies remain missing. This only fuels the imagination and romantic interpretations.

Maybe sometimes we want to believe in the happier ending to the story. Some people become famous by way of the ending we think they did not deserve. Has GD Anastasia joined Elvis, Marilyn, James Dean etc.?

How many sightings will there be? How many imposters?
Can we just let them all rest in peace?

The old nun doesn't know for sure who brought Anastasia there.She thinks it was a solder.Her new name,as a nun was Diadora.Do you have any idea where did it come from?
