Prince Felix of Salm-Salm

In reading The Cactus Throne, the Tragedy of Maximilian and Carlota, this man, Prince Felix Salm-Salm, shows up in the last days of the Mexican Empire to try unsuccessfully to help Maximilian out of his mess.

After spending time in America, he had married a girl from Vermont named Agnes Leclerq, a circus performer. Princess Agnes joined him on his trip to Mexico and  they were involved in further adventures in America and Europe.

There was quite a bit of interesting information in the book about these two, but I just wondered if anyone knew anything else about this couple or had any pictures.

Hello,
Brand new to the forum.
I have a collection of material which belonged to Prince Felix Salm-Salm. I would like to post a few things if there is any interest.
Here is a picture of a very young Felix at about 22 years of age or so, c. 1850.

Thnx in advance

Hi,
Here is another one in full military uniform.  It comes from the same period.  So much confidence and promise.

As a Prince of Salm-Salm, he had some rather pretentious arms!
From Rietstap:
(See illustration here!)

Saxony, Mantua and Constantinople, where did that come from? I couldn't find any great magnificent matches in the Salm-Salm genealogy....
