Just wanted to start this topic just to see what interest there is in the Standart and to share pictures and to just discuss the yacht.


 Also something I am interested, does anyone also think it would cool to try to build a exact replica of the Standart  and just to discuss the feasibility and cost and details as if you were in charge of the project of rebuilding. I do know many plans and model exists as well as pictures exist. I do see the biggest factor being cost to they did rebuild the royal sailing yacht Britannia so it is not completely impossible just really expensive.    (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K1_Britannia ) ( http://k1britannia.org/ )

Hi Nathan,

I don't know much about the Imperial yachts, but there are others on the Forum who are very knowledgeable on the subject.  If you are interested, there is at least one thread on the Standart in the "Imperial Transportation" section below.  Enjoy!

I am so sorry that I did not check before posting this I will be better next time and when I was posting this it was late and I was in a different time zone and was very tired and I am still very new to everything on this great fourm
