How many events can you think of in Russia & around the world which happened in 1906?
Some of mine:
Empress Dowager Ci-Xi was still aiding Emperor Guangxu in ruling
Almost 400 people (in Russia) are executed in January
Peter Stolypin's home is the target of bombers
King Christian IX of Denmark dies on January 29th
King Edward VII is on the throne of England
Pierre Curie (husband of Marie Curie) dies
An April 18th earthquake, followed by a fire kills almost 3,000 people in San Francisco, California; quake measured at 7.8 on the Richter scale
A typhoon & tsunami kill an estimated 10,000 people in Hong Kong
President Teddy Roosevelt awarded Nobel Peace Prize for efforts in Russo-Japanese War

This is not realy Imperial Russian history
But the list can go on forever, I'll give some Russian examples:

ex: mutiny in Sevastopol
Duma opens for the first time
anti-jewish pogroms in Odessa
The Russian composer Dmitri Dmitriyevich Shostakovich was born in Petersburg
Stoylypin serves until 1911
Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by ignorance or stupidity.

Well over 100 years, but 23rd Jan. 1874 is the wedding of Alfred, Duke of Edinburg to Maria A. Grand Duchess of Russia
Life may not be the party we expected, but while we are here, might as well dance..

Princess Alice of Great Britian gave birth to her seventh child, May in 1874.

Duchess Marie of Edinburgh (Maria Alexandrovna) gave birth to her and the Duke's first child, Alfred in 1874.

It's not quite 100 years yet, but:

Aug. 4, 1906----- Marie-José, Princess of Belgium is born
Dec. 13, 1906--- Marina, Princess of Greece & Denmark is born

A little over 100 years:

1905 ---- Russia went to war with Japan
1907----- Vassily Alexandrovich, Xenia and Sandro's youngest child is born
