The palace would be used dor a student ball by the association Cover, this ball aims at revivong the tradition of aristocratics nights, it will be taken in a prerevolutonary style.

The article referenced above says the the ball was held at the Steiglitz mansion, when it was really held at the Steilglitz Museum (& School) at Solyanoy pereulok, 13.  This was never a home.

It is pictured in Vassili's earlier post and would be a wonderful site for a ball.

Vassili,
I didn't think YOU were mistaken but the ARTICLE you quoted clearly was. It referred to the Steiglitz MUSEUM as the Steiglitz MANSION.  The clue for me was the address in the article.  Having visited the museum, I knew it was located at Solyanoy pereulok, 13.
I value your contirbutions to the site, and only hope to clarify information that might confuse some readers.  I hope you will do the same for me.
Thanks.

I've just come across these wonderful interior watercolours of this mansion. But I have absolutely no idea if this place still exists, can anyone fill in the details?
