Last Days of the Last Czar - Rare Film
« on: August 10, 2004, 08:21:41 PM »
I've been trying for the longest to find out where can I get the "last days for the last czar".  I've been in touch with Father Serfes and he is waiting for copies etc.

If anyone can assist me, or make a copy. It would be greatly appreciated.

PS There was a post a while ago giving the number of the production studio in San Fran but the number is to a hospital--maybe the company went out of business?

I would love to see that movie, but where on Earth can you get it? It seems impossible to source.

I forget where I obtained it. But the Dist. on the video case is :Cyrillic Films
            3145 Geary Blvd. #441
             S.F.   CA. 94118

The phone number is no longer valid so who knows if they even still exist ?
Good luck !

No doubt it is way too obscure a film to ever grace New Zealand television screens :(

I tried a yahoo search for Cyrillic Films, but it looks like they don't have a homepage or anything.

My heart hurts when I think of this film about the Romanovs, because I don't own a copy!  Only this film and "Romanovs: a crowned family" are missing from my collection.  Is there no one who can help?

I just posted a comment about my frustration about not being able to find the film "The Last Days of the Last Czar".  I few moments later I found a web site about the "royal martrys of russia" and low and behold, a private seller is selling copies of the film.  I emailed a few questions to make sure they had the product in stock and a few details about the film.  The moment I have found out anything I will post it on here.  I hope this isn't a wild goose chase!

The person who ownes the film emailed me back and told me  to email him when he gets back from a trip at the begining of August.  So, I'm guessing he is still selling copies of the film... Now I just have to wait until August!
