"The Song of Siberia" as sung by GD ANNA

Tsar River, wider than a mile...
We're crossing you in style someday.

We're after the same rainbow's end,
You Faberge-adoring friend,

Tsar River, and me...

"The Imperial Claimant Bus Song" as sung by GD Janet AKA Miss Hepburn

I could have driven all night,
I could have driven all night,
They still would beg for more...
I could have spread my wings, and done a
thousand things I've never done before.

I'll never know what made it so exciting, while
all at once, the bus took flight!

Now that dearie GD Janet has discovered her Better Self, mustn't we head back with snow shovels to dear Tsarkoe Selo as we have been requested? Do we really need to visit former Tsarina Has-Beens? Said lady and her collection of Green Stamp Books (Her wedding gift from Tsar Doug) are pretty dreary, in point of fact.

Caio for now, GD Melissa and the relieved in more ways the one dear doggies

Spreading your wings and doing a thousand things you've never done before while driving a bus can be a terrible mistake.

I  see all of our dear GD's are writing wonderful songs to sing on the bus.....so I wrote this one  in about five minutes........here goes.......

"Home on the Steppes"

Home, home on the Steppes
Where the Tsar and the GD's do play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

How often at night when the palaces are bright
With the light from the glittering stars
Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed
If their blings do exceed that of ours

Home, home on the Steppes
Where the Dukes and the Cossacks do play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

Well, you get the idea.........and my thanks to Cole Porter and Carmen Miranda whom I believe wrote the original music and verse.

Now back to my Green Stamp pasting........the reward is a  "toaster".....  wow!...toasted blinis...GD Anna will love it......

"Home, Home On The Steppes" is so wonderful...followed by "Who Is Afraid Of The Big, Bad Red?" and "Rex, the Magic Monkey" (a Ptyor, Paul and Maria favorite from way back when)...

Caio for now, and singing away with ladylike enthusiasm with the rest on the bus... GD Melissa and the howling-along doggies

Dearies,

Good and bad news;

First the bad news: - We have to cancel this bus trip immediately, we received a  message from the former Empress: Quote: I refuse to meet any of these frivolous Ladies. I'm not amused by the behaviour of a certain GD/ Toothpick/Busdriver what's her name and her greedy everybody's friend GD/BlingBananaBonbon.
The Baroness vonCrankypants is the only one I can stand, a decent married and honorable court lady alas under the influence of the GD's Chip and Dale.
Go back!

Dearie me :-/

Nevertheless the good news: TOAOTRS- The one and only Tsarskoe Radio Station would like to make a CD of all the Claimants road songs. "Sing a long with Band Claimants"

Aaaand I wanna be home in time for Valentine's day. I heard Grand Dukes, Generals, Cossacks and other admirers are queuing before my palace.
What about T.D.?

Anna 8)......driving home to Tsarskoe, get my feet on imperial ground.

I am sending all the ladies of the imperial court a huge pure 100% chocolate crown to wear on St. Valentines Day.  It weighs in at about ten pounds.

Please do not wear it  outside in the sunshine....last year GD Anna had chocolate running down her dear cheeks, GD Janet had her hair covered in melted chocolate and Melissa, well, let's just say that it got in her eyes and ruined a perfectly good pair of false eyelashes.

Tsar Doug..........holding forth at the palace until the ladies return...........

They asked me how I knew
That my jewels are blue
I of course replied
Something here inside
Can not be denied

They, said some day you'll find
That your cook's  unkind
When your palace is on fire
You must realize
Smoke gets in your eyes

Now jealous friends deride
Blood stains I cannot hide
So I smile and say
When the milkman dies
Smoke gets in your eyes

Smoke gets in your eyes

Valentine's Day at Tsarskoe! Always an event.

Indeed, the Cossacks were gathering in anticipation of Anna's return. Unfortunately some came with bling and others with chocolate, but Anna had the sense to go in the back door and have them drop the gifts in front of the palace and leave.

If you're happy and a claimant clap your hands
If you're happy and a claimant clap your hands
If you're happy and a claimant there's no reason to feel lament
If you're happy and a claimant clap your hands

If you're happy and a royal clap your hands
If you're happy and a royal clap your hands
If you're happy and a royal, then Tsar Doug thinks you're loyal
If you're happy and a royal clap your hands

The above wonderful song was slightly modified by Tsar Doug......which makes it easier to sing along in church.

Tsar Doug......editing  GD Anna's  fabulous new song that will be sung in all the churches of Russia

Praise be to God and Halalujah!!!!!

Ring the bells for GD Anna!!!

Oooops sorry for playing the song over and over again in the palace, I don't know what happened. Blame it on the melting chocolate crown dripping into my eyes.
At least the whole court is happy and cheerful today.

Anna 8).........chocolate dip

Human fondue! Isn't our dear Tsar the cleverest old thing?    caio for now, GD Melissa and the dear doggies

"East is East, West is West, Home is Best" decribes our return to dear Tsarkoe perfectly. Nothing like a Queen and an Empress to sum it up perfectly. In their honor, I am having that saying inscribed on the mantel of the billiard room at Schloss vonCrankypants!!!

The last thing I remember, I hit my head.

And you were there, and you . . . and you too!

Oh, but anyway, we're home. Home! And this is my room, and you're all here. And I'm not gonna leave here ever, ever again, because I love you all, and - oh, Tsar Doug - there's no place like home!
