Yes, Dorothy [Janet] it's good to be back home.  We'll take good care of you here at the palace.  You remember don't you?  You're a Grand Duchess.  Remember your first days here in Tsarskoe?  You had just come from Cuidad Tijuana and your former days with the taco carts.  Remember that big bag of cash you brought?  I have it safely put away for your care.  All is well, now dear one.  We'll take good  care of you.  No this isn't Kansas...this is Russia.

Tsar Doug.......have the Dr's watch her carefully ;)

PS:  GD Anna will be here also with some wonderful zoop and cookies.

Next we'll all be eating tacos  y Tamales for our comida.

This is Russia and we're supposed to be eating Ruskia not Mexicano.

Oye vey,

Well, this morning for breakfast I was presented with eggs rancheros, frijoles & cheese, a tamale, fresh squeezed orange juice, cafe & creme and a few tortillas.

Can you imagine this as the august breakfast of the Tsar of Russia?

Instead of the usual trooping of the imperial colors in the courtyard below, I was regaled by a mariachi band from the State of Chihuahua.

What next?  I suppose I will have to receive the official documents of Vicente the Fox.....el Presidente of Mexico.

Tsar Doug.......living in the international palace that was once called the Alexander .........

Cara Mia GD Janet,

Muchas gracias, dearie for the darling little chihauhua puppy. I am thinking about suitable names:

          1. Evita
          2. Salma
          3. Margarita (as in the drink, not the flower)
          4. Melanie (for Mrs. Antonio B.)
          5. Nachito (diminuitive of "nacho")

So let me know which you like best, and I will get the doggie tag engraved pronto, as they say...

Caio for now, GD Melissita and the dear doggies

GD/Janet aka Juanita dearie,

"I can see clearly now the brain has gone, I can see no obstacles in my way"
"A blow on the head can do wonders to the brain"
my friend Einstein always said when he was thrown out of my palace after two bottles of Vodka and a blow on his head with my Fabergé fan.

I quess the Spanish speaking taco-zone must have been activated since you hit your head, and as a matter of fact I need that zone tonight.
I'm giving an intimate dinner party for three of Tsar Doug's Spanish speaking friends and I need an extra lady at the table so I was thinking of you.

Table arrangements:
Tsar Doug and GD Anna
Baron and Baronesse VonCrankypants
Barber of Seville and Lady Carmen
Don Quixote de La Mancha and GD/GP Juanita

Alas early supper for the girlies Shvibs and Ritka, school tomorrow dearies!

Anna 8).....Hasta la Vista I'll be back

Dear  Ones:

I see that GD Anna is having us over for a little assemblage in her most elegant style as usual.

We do need a little place setting for Rex.  He loves grapes and bananas.

I hope that barber is not the one that almost cut my throat the last time he shaved me.  Yikes... that was a close call.

Carmen,  the red spy is that lady I am sure of it. And that Don Q. guy is just so goofy , what with his windmills and jousting with the Devil himself.  I hope Pancho can be there also......he does a great magic act with a donkey and a bottle of beer....or as taco millionairess Janet would say... .'cerveza'.

GD Juanita, AKA Janet , is to be near by me at all times to translate her Espanole into  some language I speak.

I also note that GD Anna is on intimate terms with that man of the cosmos, Albert Einstein.  He's always  the life of the party, especially when he has a few beers and sticks his tongue way out.......way out.  Such a character. ...we just love him.  I did hear that he was time traveling to other universes on a beam of light.

Tsar Doug.........slippin and slidin......jumping and jivin....Long Tall Sally.....whoooooeeeeee. Baby...won't you let me  take you on a .....Sea Cruise...

Sorry,   just  a bit carried away with the glories of the Nifty Fifties.......

Back to reality.......

Darling GD Ritka,

Of course I understand completely that we must delete "Margarita" from the Puppy Name List. I shall replace it with "Cerveza" and ask everyone to vote for their favorite before the Old Mexico Dinnner Party this evening at dear Anna's...I do hope that the Tsar refrains from wearing his big sombrero tonight. It tends to get caught in doorways and on chandeliers. Don't even get me started on the monkey. One must smile and peel bananas and grapes and remember that who is favored by the monkey is favored by the Tsar.

Someday, when you have finished your Imperial Education, you and dear S. will be able to attend dinner parties and soirees. Until then, study hard and promise me you will never ever join the Imperial Claimant Curling Team. (Any sport that features scrubbing with brooms is not up to scratch for GDs, and ruins a manicure completely.)

Caio for now, GD Melissa and the dear doggies
