I'll have to confess that is probably where I first heard about the Romanov's but it has nothing to do with why I'm interested in them.

    I'"m  a (not completely) new user of the Forum and AP; a few posts and many, many hours of viewing and reading. In fact,I only "found" the Forum after relatively exhausting the AP site itself.

    I've come to realise there's as much Romanov knowledge and resources here as on the main site (in some areas) ; especially photos .Where do you guys keep finding these oldies but goodies?

Hello to all.  This is my first post ever!  I have been a member about 6 months or so and have read almost every post and spend way too much time following up on many links, looking at the fascinating pictures, and daydreaming about the imperial past!  Throughout this fantastic journey I feel like I have gotten to know so many of these tragic and enchanting historical people all because of you clever and dedicated members of this wonderful forum! 
About me:  I am a nurse and live in Tennessee in the USA and was drawn into the whole Romanov thing by a charming little children's book on hemophilia.  It was written by Laureen A Kelley and here's the link.  Poor little Alexei.  He could have been great.

Hello everybody,
I'm from India. It may seem surprising to most of you to know that someone in India is interested in the Romanovs but let me assure you that I'm not the only Indian who is fascinated by the Romanovs. It's a pity, though, that there isn't any undisputed claimant to the Romanov heritage.

I am a 20 year old boy from Germany, and I would like to talk with other persons who are interested in Royalty and history, esp. Russian one.

My main interests are history, art, music, literature, classic cars etc.

My favourite dynasty is the Romanov one, and my most liked Tsars are Nicholas II and Nicholas I, and of course the Tsesarevich Alexei (Alexei II).

I took the German version of "Tsesarevich" as a nickname.

I am not a new member, but I have not been here for at least 1 year.
I am originally from The Czech Republik, but now I am living in Canada.

How do you do all!  I am brand spanking new to posting and to the APF, I came across your site by accident, but now that I have been here and looked around, sorry, it looks like now you will be stuck with me for quite a long time.  I am a replanted swede, my family emmigrated to the USA from Sweden in about 1874 and there promptly seemed to get lost, well I was found and am now replanted back in Sweden and loving it.  I cannot imagine my life anywhere else, I have discovered family here and its wonderful.  Anyway, getting back to the ATP, I am so surprised that people say they became interested because of the Don Bluth Film(which was wonderful, believe me I've seen it at least a hundred times), does anyone remember the Yul Brenner, Ingrid Bergman movie, call me a romantic but I fell in love with the romanticized version of Russian aristocracy from that movie and haven't been disappointed yet.  My own family has a few of its members from russia, St. Petersburg.  The Swedish genealogical society was offering a trip to St Petersburg in the spring, but as want to see more than the swedish area of St Peterburg, I guess I will have to find a way over myself to see whats what.  I find the Russian culture so fascinating and so rich in tradition.  I hope to learn alot from all of you who post here and hopefully I will make worthy contributions as well.
