Please excuse the length of this my first post and excuse some of my poor spelling. I just registered and I feel a bit awkward because of what brought me here, concerned about how others here might feel about me and about what brought me here.Two things really brought me here.
For many years I have had an infatuation, even romantically infatuated with Grand Duchess Tatiana. I know it's silly and makes no sense. Why over the years would I be infatuated with a Russian Grand Duchess who died now just over 90 years ago? Was it how she and her family died? Was it the mystique surrounding Russia's last Imperial Family? Or was it something else something more? It just does not make sense. Also, why Tatiana? Why not one of the other Grand Duchesses? True Tatiana had grown into a very beautiful and even alluring young woman. But what is it about this person Tatiana Nickolaevna Romanov that for years I have felt this infatuation with her? But I do come back to the questions of "Why?".
My interest in Russian history and in particular the last of The Tsars came about because of two dreams I had very early in the year 1980. One night in January or February 1980 I had a dream in which I saw Ronald Reagan and Brittain's Prince Charles walking up Capital Hill in Washington, DC together. I knew from that dream that Ronald Reagan would be elected President of the United States in 1980, and that one day Great Brittain, The UK, would rebuild something of her empire. I knew we would one day see the rebirth and rebuilding of a large and powerful Brittish Empire.
About that same time in 1980 I had another dream in which I saw the fall of The Soviet Union and with it the fall of Communism. Out of the ashes of The Soviet Union and Communism in Russia, I saw the restoration of the Russian Monarchy and a Romanov Tsar seated on The Imperial Russian Throne. As the dream ended I heard a voice. It spoke Russian. Even though I don't know a word of Russian I understood every word it said perfectly. Translated into English it said, "Mark well these words, for before this century is out there shall again be a Romanov Tsar seated upon the Imperial Russian Throne."
I thought "this century" meant the 20th Century and I expected it around 1999. But the oher evening I was reading a new book I receintly got on The Romanovs published this past Fall 2008. It looks at The Romanovs from 1613 to the early 21st Century. It said that in a little over four years (2013) we would mark the 400th annaversary of the rise of The Romanov Dynasty to The Russian Throne. I realized "this century" meant the third century since the Romanovs came to the throne. Ever since that dream in 1980 I have said that the time would come when The Soviet Union and Communism was swept away and that we would see the restoration of The Russian Monarchy.
So these are the two things that brought me to this forum. Naturally I have questions about both these things. But this is what brought me here and I wanted to share them both, perhaps hoping in return I would also get some answers.
