Hi, everyone. My name is Scott, and I'm from Mississippi.  As you might guess from my username, I enjoy writing about hockey, especially hockey history. I have a general interest in history as well, and Imperial Russia is one of my favorite subjects. I haven't really had much time to put into it for a while, but I've begun some study anew in the last few days.

I know I won't have much to offer compared to many on this board, but I look forward to reading, learning from, and hopefully joining in on some of the conversation.

Hi all. I discovered this forum quite by accident about 10 days ago while researching some family history (sooooo difficult). Anyway - I have spent hours reading all the posts on this fastinating subject.  through out my life I had never been told anything about my fathers side of the family until about 2 years ago when he gave me the names of his parents and their birthplaces etc. and since then I have learned quite a bit but I am digging for more. As far back as I can remember I have had such an interest in the  Romanovs and as I continue to learn more and more about them I have become completely addicted!  Looking forward to continuing to learn here!

Aloha! This is my first ever posting, although I've been quietly stalking so many of these threads for nearly twenty years... what's motivated me to actually post something is, i want to say how very grateful I am for APTMF and its denizens; I'm never really alone in my obsessions anymore! I realised its been TWENTY YEARS since Bob started this, and I want to scream THANK YOU from the top of Mauna Kea! I value this place and its contributors more than I can explain; you all, unknowing, add greatly to the quality of my life.
