I could not logg in to the site ever since I got my new computer.    I have been dying to share a picture of my
Anastasia Doll by Wendy Lawton.   She is completly posable and has a carved jointed wooden body.  She came out in 1998 and a friend found one in her doll shop and sold her to me.

Yep, I did research on that doll and it is after Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna. Its in the royalty collection. Here's a site I found:

http://www.dollery.com/html/artists/lawton/lawton-mm.htm

Go down the page till you find Anastasia.

I am so glad that everyone likes my doll.  I have wanted her ever since she came out and with the price almost
eight hundred dollars I never though  that I   would add her to my doll collection.   Fate is a funny thing and a dear friend who owns a doll shop found her in a store room.  A lady had her on layaway and stopped paying on her.    When she found her she emailed me and asked me if I had one.   When I told Janet no I could not afford one she not only held her for me, she let me put her on layaway and for only five hundred.   A nice savings.  It took me eight years but I finally have my dream doll.   She is the   queen of my collection.

I want that doll!!! But there's no way I could ever by it. Do you know how long it would take me to save up all that money?!?! I have never got one of those type of classic dolls, like how the Grand Duchesses had. I know OTMA were fans of dolls, and imagine what our Caspian Nastenka would have to think about this!

This doll is so georgous, I would be happy to email you bigger pictures of her if you like.    I would save for a while and check out doll shows and  ebay.  Sometimes these dolls come up for sale.   Remember it took me eight years to find Stasia.    I am still pinching myself to make sure it is not a dream.
