Crown Princess Caroline of Denmark

Does anyone kow something about Crown Princess Caroline of Denmark,second wife of King Frederik VII,born Mecklenburg-Strelitz duchess?Something about her/their life/separation?How did she looked like?

The little that I know is that she was the daughter of Grand Duke Georg and Pss Marie of Hesse Kassel. She was married to Fredrick VII in 1841 and divorced in 1846.  Her remains rest in the Mecklenburg family Vault,Johanneskirche, Mirow. Her mother was sister to
Augusta, Duchess of Cambridge who was the Grandmother of Queen Mary.

Cant remember seeing one if there is.
The marriage of Caroline Mariane and Frederik was a very unhappy one from the beginning. He was a compulsive liar, had very bad behaviour, heavy drinker and very commited to his mistress Louise, later Countess of Danner.
She left him in 1844, and never returned to Denmark.

Poor girl...she must have felt very bad!If you find any information about her after the divorce and also picture of her,please post it!It would be great to know and to see it!

After the divorce she lived a quiet life in Mecklenburg, happy to be out of the marriage. When some Danes later visited her, she just said "that Prince of yours was really strange".That he was, and when he married Louise, his third wife, court life in Denmark stopped.
