Tatiana Surname
(1/1)
KarlandZita:
Is it true that her siblings called Tatiana "The Governess" ? I don't like this pejoratif surname because it was certainly a critic against her big personality. They could have called her "The Impérial Beauty" or "The Dancer". It would have more flattering !
Romanov_fan:
Yes, they did call her that. It may not have been flattering, but it described her well enough. And it could be flattering if one remembered that it meant that she was practical, and got things done, and was capable. You could entrust matters to her. To me, at least, that's a rather flattering designation. ;)
Margarita Markovna:
I think it was just a cute nickname used by her siblings. Really, you're not going to go around calling your sister with "Hey you! Imperial Beauty!" ;)
KarlandZita:
Effectively !
Sophia_Skymind:
Hi!
I can only agree with that: brothers and sisters always find themselves absurd surnames. Being the oldest in my family, I personnally take that for true...
I think "the Governess" fitted Tatiana perfectly, and it's even more valuable in my eyes since Alexei and OMA invented it. Who could have known Tatiana's personnality better then them? They were almost always together, afterall, considering the fact that they weren't allowed to meet other kids.
Yeah, maybe it's a little perojative, but it's also funny!
