Parents should name their children responsibly, although obviously these parents didn't! I am sure they were teased!  :D

Agreed. Sometimes parents think they are being cute and creative and they don't take the time to think about how cruel other children can be. I went to middle school with a girl named Hollie Woods and she was teased a lot. Fortunately she didn't let it bother her too much though.

If I were to change my name to a Romanov name  I think I would be Anastasia.

I love talking about names!!! Not without my handbag is great, but it's a little outdated now.

A great site is www.bigbadbabynames.com.  It's a hoot!

My own favourites of the IF's names are Tatiana, Xenia and Irina.  Tatiana has been on my list of future girl's names for several years now.

Yeah...if I stick with my current girlfriend, Marie, then I can only name the kids OTA and A...I wouldn't want to have more than one immediate family member with the same name!  I mean, Nicholas would be a possibility.  I don't plan on having more than two kids, and hopefully not more than one of each gender, to save myself issues later in their lives.

Yes, they do believe they are being creative. Well, they are, but do they want to be? It reminds me of some celebrity kids names out there. I love names, and the name Xenia is a lovely Romanov name, as Ra-Ra- Rasputin posted. I agree with her choice of names exactly!

Creative? Yeah. I can hit my keyboard and add vowels too.

"Rbehugb" is now on the list for names. ::) (Joking.)

I once read in a baby name book that  in order to create a unique name parents can combine parts of their own names, ???

It suggested Mary and Don could name their baby Mardon or  Ron and Ellen could name theirs  Ronell. :-/

I like a lot of the Romanov names: Ksenia, Tatiana, Olga, Anastasia, and Irina for girls and Mikhail, Alexei, Nikolai, and Georgiy for boys.  I think Russian names in general are very pretty along with Celtic names like  Rhiannon, Bronwyn, and Carys.

Sooo...I *could* have been Pamark? Marpat?

Rather be named Elisabeth ANY day. I loved how they called her Ella- it's a gorgeous nickname for a good name!

Oh, yes, I think Ella's a nice name. I guess Tatiana, Xenia and Alexandra are OK.

I'd probably change it to Maria or Anastasia. Although, Ella and Irina are nice names too.

After I read that site, I feel like a kid I knew in highschool doesn't feel so alone anymore. His name is Young Boozer!
