Decorations of the Imperial Bedroom
« on: February 28, 2006, 02:37:26 PM »
Iwondering about the Boticelli Madonna that hung in the Imperial Bedroom. It seems to have been a favorite of Alexandra's because it followed her to Tobolsk. I did a search on Google and found several Madonna with Child's. Does anyone know which is the one that Alexandra owned a copy of?

Also, does anyone know which Faberge Easter eggs were kept on the vitrine in the bedroom?

Thanks!

I was looking at one of the walls of the Imperial bedroom and I was trying to ID some of the family photos on the wall. I recognize Queen Victoria and Nicholas in a prominent place in the middle. There are several others that are vicible but I can't identify at the time. One of those below Queen Victoria looks like K.R. to me.

Can anyone else ID any others?

Thanks!

The Boticelli was a copy and Alexandra bought it on a tour of Italy with her brother.  That trip was one of the happiest experiences of her life.
