Paintings/Sketches of Alexei

I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of portraits, paintings, or sketches of Alexei. There are several that I have seen in the Maple Room, Mauve Room, and the Pallisander Room, all with artists unknown.

I am looking for one of Alexei that hung in the Mauve Room. It can be glimpsed on the tour and it looks like he is in military dress. The tour said that it was very heavy due to its metal back.

Those paintings and sketches are wonderful.  He was such a beautiful boy.  Books always describe him as a blond, blue eyed boy, but in pictures and paintings he has brown hair and dark eyes.  It is easy to tell that OTMA had various shades of blue eyes, but in many pictures his eyes look brown.  Maybe the lighting in the pictures make his eyes look dark.

The mauve room? You've never seen a picture? There are many of the family in the mauve room all over the forum, as well as just the room alone on the Alexander Palace board.

A beautiful boy he was indeed, I think it is the lighting, the fact that his eyes were blue is a bit too established to be fake, in my oppinion. I agree, his hair is not what I would call "Blonde" (My own younger sister has very light hair, when I think of blonde I think of little else but her shade.) But when you compair it to O and T...and even M and A to an extent. His hair looks many shades lighter when you compare it.

I personally sent you a post with a VISUAL description of Aleksey's hair and eye colour
based upon Pierre Gilliard's own succinct testimony [SEE "A Lifelong Passion].
I would have posted it here, but I did not know how and there is a limit
as to how much space we can use for fotos.   See if the final result
matches what you guys suppose Aleksey to have looked like.
May I also add one sad note?   I am REALLY unhappy that genius Russian
photographer Sergei M. Prokudin Gorskii did not take a REAL colour foto
of the I.F., nor individual portraits.    His fotos were REALLY in technicolour
as used by Disney for Snow White before 1940.  
Below are 2 examples of Sergei's work . . . just to SEE what kind of quality fotos of
NAOTMAA there COULD have been--and they were made prior to 1916!

Really?! Technicoloured photographs were already there on the late 1900's? Too bad the IF didn't had the chance to be photographed in technicolour, we weren't able to see them in true colors now.

Prokudin Gorsky's process was not REALLY the technicolor process...It's on 3 glass plates (red, blue and green). In France, we call this process "trichromie".

Yeeeh! I managed it!!!   So it is a portrait of  Alexei with his sisters the artist was Mikhail Viktorivch Rundaltstov, and it was made in 1911
