I guess it might have been a quite discrete wedding considering the recent death of the bride's father.
Are there any photos around ?
thanks in advance

The Liechtenstein Court announced on tuesday that HSH Princess Agnes von und zu Liechtenstein,néé Archduchess of Habsburg - Tuscany, passed away - aged 78.

HSH was the daughter of HIH Archduke Hubert Salvator of Habsburg - Tuscany and HIH Archduchess Rosemary,néé Princess zu Salm - Salm.

In 1949 the Princess married Prince Karl Alfred von und zu Liechtenstein,a brother of the then Fürst Franz Josef, the couple had 7 children.

The Princess will be interred in Vienna monday september 10th.

Has anyone some pictures of late Princess Agnes von und zu Liechtenstein,néé Archduchess of Habsburg - Tuscany? Thanks!! :)

Hi,

I have uploaded an album with photographs of Empress Sisi, family and the Habsburg Court related.
All carte de visite photographs. They include Franz Joseph and other Habsburg family members, Empress Elizabeth and other members of the Wittelsbach family a.o. Countess of Trani, members of the Liechtenstein family, cardinals, ministers etc. etc.
Excuse me for the somewhat light scans - the originals are better.
Please follow the link to start with the intro and run through the album.
An index will follow....

Princess Tatjana of Liechtenstein gave birth to another daughter, Sophie Katharina Maria, on October 30th. Sophie is Tatjana's sixth child and fifth daughter. Congratulations!

BTW: Has anyone ever seen a family picture of the whole Lattorf family? Or a picture of Hans Adam and the members of his family (including Tatjana's children)?
Ich aber breite trauernd aus
die weiten weissen Schwingen,
Und kehr' ins Feenreich nach Haus -
Nichts soll mich wieder bringen.

All of those Liechtenstein members are descendants of Erzherzog Franz Ferdinands sister Elisabeth...but was this the reason ???

So cool that the first Prince who actually lived and reigned in Liechtenstein was the son of a Habsburg! But Franz Joseph II did not continue that grand tradition, did he: Unlike his son and grandson his marriage to Countess Georgina of Wilczek was not equal according to the strictest sense of Ebenbürtigkeit, was it? (Perhaps poignant that once free from the "yoke" of the Habsburg court, they did what they wanted!) The Wilczecks were just Austrian (or Bohemian?) counts, not immediate imperial nobility, weren't they?

Well, if clinging to power is your only criterion, then the House of Kim in North Korea must be the champions of Ebenbürtigkeit! :-)
