Faberge's PEACOCK egg

Can anyone explain who the gift of the peacock egg was really given to Nicholas II;s mother - Dagmar, or wife, Alix?

According to http://www.mieks.com/Faberge2/1908-Peacock-Egg.htm     the heading states gift from Nicholas II to  Alexandra Fyodorovna, yet in the text, 2nd paragraph, it says  "the 2 halves are each  engraved , 1 with the crowned Monogram of Maria Fyodorovna i.e. Dagmar  and the date 1908."

So WHO WAS THE GIFT FOR?

You can see the confusion.

It first says a gift for Alix his wife, and yet the gift has his mother crown monogram.

I might add that the peacock egg is included in the list of eggs given to Nicholas's mother  Dagmar.

Help.  Can anyone supply answers.

On a Polish web site, http://www.eksplorator.os.pl/fab.htm, I found a list of all of the Imperial Eggs and to whom they were given. The egg in question was presented to Dowager Empress Maria Fedorovna by her son Nikolai II. The list from the site is below, please note that some of the unusual letters in Polish such as the L with a slash, A with tail, Z with an accent and the E with a tail could not be shown on this forum, thus they appear simply as L, A, Z and E:

Dear David,

Thankyou for your interesting answer.  The Polish is hard to figure out.

I had word from  from Mieks, who stated, of coarse the egg was for Nicky's mother, Dagmar.  He has made corrections   on the site.

I had a wonderful time researching the Faberge eggs, and have learnt a great deal.  A most fasinating subject,
and connected to the last ruling Romanovs.
