Photo-album Alexei, about 485 pictures - UPDATED
« on: March 28, 2006, 05:03:22 AM »
Link to a photo-album of Alexei and his surroundings, started with about 485 pictures.
http://photobucket.com/albums/j231/Alexei-7/
It was just been made, the pictures are gathered together and still trough another, I searched everywhere to find them, I'll try to sort them out, interested people can download them now and I don't need to upload them anymore at this forum.

Hello Ordino! Well, that's a very good question! It's giving me much pleaure, that you examined the album so well, that you discovered this pictures! Telling the truth, I'm still in doubt, if this boy(s) really are Alexei, but in spite of that I put them in the album anyway, hoping that one of the members should recocnize them. Estimating the age of the boy(s), the one in the woods about 14 years old and the one, near the window even maybe 15 years old!, wearing typical Russian, very simple clothes, if it's really Alexei, they must have been taken after his fathers abdication, already in exile, in the Ipatiev House. At the most of the previous pictures, so being younger, he wore those Donald Duck-suites, which were very trendy in those days, my father, two years younger than Alexei and my eldest brother have been photographed in this suites, too. It's too bad that the pictures aren't distinct enough to recocnize the faces, to be sure, if it's really Alexei. I hope that one of our members can give us more information about this, thank you very much! :)

IMO, neither of the two photos in question are Aleksei. The first has been discussed on the forum before, but the second is new to me...

why do you say there is not Alexei in the first photo,  and the second one  is or not is?
Thanks, Ordino :)

Neither are Aleksei. I'll try to use reasons better than "It just doesn't look like him!"  Which, honestly, is my main reason. ;)

I believe the boys in these photos are in peasant costume. As is being discussed in another thread, Aleksei rarely, if ever, wore anything but sailor suits or uniforms. Further, Aleksei's uniforms had epaulettes, and neither of these boys' do. The styling of these boys' clothing doesn't match Aleksei's -- they have no breast-pockets, no medals, and Aleksei always wore his pants tucked into his boots, while both of these boys have their boots covered by their pants legs.
Here's a nice shot of Aleksei in uniform for comparison:

Also, look at the build of the boy in the second photo, and the fit of his clothes. He matches neither Aleksei's body type, nor the tailored fit of Aleksei's shirts.

Convinced yet?

There were a few photos on the first page that I too noticed were not of Alexei. The biggest clue for me was their faces--they looked nothing like Alexei. I know this too is a rather attempt to convince everyone else, but if you look closely at the two, it is clear that it's not him.

I think the link is not right. There are 8 photos on this page, but none of Aleksei...
