Dear Vladimir,
Our speed of internet at home, significantly faster, than your speed of the modem in Russia, approximately 200 times (I have at home 5.5 MBs), also for my understanding current owner of narod.ru - Yandex, engages QoS for foreign traffic, meaning, I can not have more than one stream of http traffic, as well is my stream, slower than 14kbs per one connection, and I am not an exception, I tested this with multiple providers. As much you would like to share findings of yours, with community, this is pretty much useless, because no one go there. After first attempt to open web, if within 20 seconds window, will not get open, users give up. So, I can consider your links, good only for one thing – boost the "search rating" of geglov's website, and this is again useless, because of the speed problem.

Thankyou Vladimir V for offering the link to this excellent site.   In the UK it only requires a few seconds patience and it is well worth the wait.

Vladimir V. I’ll have to admit that, even though excellent presentation of photographs. I do however find I’m in agreement with Vladm, Load time had been extremely long. I’m on  cable /broadband even with that, it’s length in load time had been discouraging. The intent is honest,What good is taking the time to present your work if most people end up getting discouraged thus leaving without ever seeing presentation.

Should this debate not take place in a thread devoted to technical problems?   I certainly found that a little patience overcame the problem and the results were worth the wait.   Those who want to wait, will wait.   Those who either do not have the time or the patience, will move on.   At least we have the choice.

The subject for discussion here is the Upper Church of the Feodorovsky Cathedral - a subject of infinitely more importance, value and interest than discussion of the intricacies of IT.

Actually, I managed to measure average download speed from narod.ru site. 2 MB file, was clocked to 180 min (3 hours), so each of the 11.1 Kb equal 1 min of the download. Average page equal to 120 Kb .html file, including images, now speed of the download equal 10.8 min, and plus delays for each of the request between browser and web server, comes up to about 13-15 min per page, and this is only thumb view for images. Each of the images roughly 80 Kb size. So, in order to see the 1 page of the web site, I have to spend entire day sitting in front of the computer.
Now, I am repeating, I offered for free to Geglov, move his site to my server.

It is incredibly slow to load.  - Vladimir - would you like to upload a copy to our servers?  That would be a lot faster.

Also, we just found and bought an 18th century cross from the collection the Alexandra had pinned to the alcove in her prayer/passage along side the apse in the lower church of the Fydorovsky.  It had been sold in the Hammer in the sales across the USA in 1935.  They attached a silver chain to it from 1750 that came from the chapel in the Imperial bedroom at the AP.  The cross and chain came with all the documents from the 30's.  We found it on Ebay and were able to buy it fpor a great price, the sellar had a 'buy it now' option which was expensive but not too bad.  I had to have it.

That makes three things we have that were Alix's or given by her - a paperknife in birch with inlaid gold and silver, this cross and chain, and a small ikon of St. Serafim of Sarov that Alix handed out personally to troops in WWI. We have a fragment of material from the Mauve Room, some Alexander Palace plates, a big silver spoon presented at Christmas by Empress Marie to one of her servants - stuff like that.

Also, I have a large amount of soil from the grave in Yekaterinburg that Avdonin gave me in 1997 when I went there.

Vladimir and Joanna are recreating the glories of the Feodorovsky Sobor on this Forum.   While, alongside, Father Markel struggles to recreate them a second time.

Thanks be to God.

The book, that was published by Feodorovsky Cathedral:
Feodorovsky Cathedral. 1915. 198 pages. v.1 (Crypt Church)

Unfortunately volume 2 (the Upper Church) was not published.

I am assuming that this book is obviously out of print and is technically of value to museums?  Otherwise, I might go on the hunt for this one!
