I am really getting tired of them being bashed to brush off their denials. They knew AN better than anyone else who met AA, so you must destroy their credibility. Ever think maybe they just didn't like seeing an imposter making a mockery of the death of someone they loved?
I don't think it is a question of being bashed here, I just think that some of us are trying to find the truth in all the various statements made in this tangled case. And when we find that Gilliard was stating incorrect facts in his book "La fausse Anastasie" (she knew no German, there was no samovar in the palace, there was no Malachite Hall, and then substituted a photo of Anastasia with that of Olga to make her ear look different), it just makes us wonder WHY it was necessesary for him to fabricate things to show that AA was not AN. After all, he was the one in the Mommsen clinic stating that he "would do anything to help the Grand Duchess". And the same thing with Olga: Why did she keep in contact with AA for months afterwards, why did she send her personal gifts, why did she give AA her own personal photo album, and why did she tell Herluf Zahle that in her heart she believed the invalid to be her niece Anastasia? And how could Gilliard leave Berlin without being able to say that the patient was NOT Anastasia? Something is not right here.
Kind regards,
