Princess Diana
« on: April 11, 2006, 06:18:58 AM »
I think, this is quite interesting...

(Please read the ansistors from left to right!)

First line:

 Maximilian I. ---- Philipp I---- Ferdinand I.-------Johanna v. Habsburg-------Marie v. Medici----  Henriette
(emperor)                             (emperor)            : Franz v.Medici                 Heinrich of France

Henriette of France ------Charles II of England------- Henry Fitzroy ----Charles Fitzroy-----Isabella Fitzroy
  : Charles I of Engl.

---- Hugh Seymour -----Horace Beauchamp Seymour ----Adelaide Horatia Seymour----

-----Charles Rob.Spencer ----Edward John Spencer--- Princess Diana of Wales  ::)

second line:

Charles II of England (same ansistors like Nr. 1) ----- Charles of Lennox (Nr.1) ----Charles Lennox

(Nr.2)----- Georg Henry Lennox ---Charles Lennox-----Charles Lennox ---Cäcilia Kath. Lennox---

Rosalind Bingham--- Lady Cythia Hamilton ----Edward John Spencer ---Lady Diana ::)

Maybe this is already known here, but I found it quite interesting, it comes from the page Wordroots ,

which is sometimes very good!

I only have some doubts, because both lines back to the Habsburgs and Bourbons to the Princess of Wales are from illegitimate children of Georg II of England, and about some I have read they are not so secure.... :-/

What Do you think, can be trust in Georges fatherhoods?? ;)

Unfortunately I am not so well informed about him , so maybe anybody can tell any facts about the cases of secure and not so secure illegitimate children of him, he must have had many mistresses... :P

Do you mean Charles II, rather than George II? If so, then yes, I have read before that the Princess of Wales was descended from him. He had many famous mistresses (Barbara Palmer, Nell Gwyn, Louise de Keroualle, Lucy Walter and Hortense Mancini) and several less famous ones (Elizabeth Killigrew, Moll Davies etc) and he had dozens of illegitimate children. Plenty of English nobles are descended from him.

Yes it was a mistake....only in the first sentences it is right: Charles II of England, not Georg 8-)

I maybe always thought of "Georg", because I was a long time concerned with Marie Bonaparte, princess of Greece, who was married to prince Georg of greece ::)
--She is one of my favourite royals , and I am writing an article about her!

I am usually a "specialist" on the Bonapartes and the Habsburgs, so please do not blame me for mistakes in the English history ;D

And, what do you think, are the children of CHARLES II secure or not?

There are often cases of doubt in the history! So I am not sure....

Queen Victoria also descended from Maximilian I of Habsburg through Countess Anna Amalia von Dietrichstein-Hollenburg whose ancestor was Barbara von Rottal, illegitimate daughter of Emperor Maximilian I!I am sure there are more lines but this needs a bit of time to trace it!  ;)

Barbara von Rottal(lived from 1500-1550) married Count Sigmund von Dietrichstein(lived from 1484-1533)whose descedant was Countess Anna Amalia von Dietrichstein-Hollenburg(lived from 1638-1696) who married Count Max Erasmus von Zinzendorf und Pottendorf and so on until Queen Victoria...and her descedants!

Well, Charles acknowleged all of his children, and all of them are generally said to be indeed his. ;)

But for me nothing goes over Marie Bonaparte ::)

Sorry , maybe you can go once on the Marie Bonaparte topic, because I would like to know where your phantastic pictures of Marie come from, Marc

They are really rare.

Sorry for the lady, who had to go to heaven in M. Bonapartes hometown :'(

Do you think the two fit together? I am not sure...D ;D

(I know this was no good joke!)
