Beautiful! Hey, what tools do you use in Photoshop to color your pictures? I use that and Paint Shop X, but mine still look kinda crappy. I can't figure out how to use the brush tool without painting over the picture itself.

Beautiful! Hey, what tools do you use in Photoshop to color your pictures? I use that and Paint Shop X, but mine still look kinda crappy. I can't figure out how to use the brush tool without painting over the picture itself.

You have to build many layers to make the pic look more realistic.   Different parts of the pic may need different effects and different layers.  E.g., i usually have 3 layers for skin and 2 layers for dresses.  You can do this in 2 ways.  You either use the Lasso tool to outline the area you want to color first and then go to Layer-> New Fill Layer -> Solid Layer.  Or you can go to Layer -> New layer and then just use the brush tool to color the areas you want.

Wow, Leah! Where did you get such a good quality version of this picture? I'll take a shot at it and hope you like it.

*edit* Blegh! Not as good as I'd hoped. Perhaps if I hadn't used so much brown...It was interesting that I had never noticed the woman standing by the door until now.
