Both Wilhelm I and Friedrich Wilhelm IV caused headaches for the family and the diplomats!  FW IV wanted to marry a Catholic princess who took her time to convert (4 yrs i think) and then Wilhelm wanted to marry a non-royal Catholic!

Eliza is buried in Antonin, the south of Poland. In Antonin her father had a hunting palace built in 1822-1824.

the palace of the Radziwills

from 1939 to 1944 the  palace was owned by hitler, it was a present to hitler from the palace owner, prince Michal Radziwill.

eliza and her sister henryka helena are buried on an island in the middle of the pond (that reminds me of princess diana`s resting place). the monument is made of white marble.i`ll try to find its picture

in this not very clear picture we can see a symbol of eliza and future wilhelm I`s love.
it`s not in Antoin but it`s in the mountains.

we can see hohenzollern crown over a flower that died before it started to bloom. it reminds of the drawing in verona, romeo and julia`s place.

That is a lovely self portrait of Elisa - she must have been very talented.

Here is is one of her drawings of Chopin.

Although they were refused permission to marry, Princess Elisa Radziwill and Prince Wilhelm of Prussia had a chiild.

The story of their romance, its joys and sorrows, and the life of their daughter, Agnes, is told in a book to be released early in 2015, entitled "Agnes: The Secret Princess. An Australian Story" by Belinda Dettmann and Jane Stevens.

This is nonsense. Wilhelm and Elisa had no child.

I hadn't checked the thread for a long time and now I find that. I searched a bit about that book and then I found the following link that includes a brief summary about the content of the book: click here!! The book isn't really a serious one (look on the authors' disclaimer). Two Australian sisters claim to be linked to the German royalty through a "secret" child of Wilhelm I. The same kind of story of several claimants.

Yes, you're right Marie Valerie, Wilhelm and Elisa didn't have a child, it is just a claim.

Wilhelm and Elisa did have a child and there are DNA matches to both Hohenzollern and Radziwill descendants to prove it.
