can anyone list some of Anastasia's Pranks or jokes? i don't know if a topic like this has been started but please leave some of her pranks or jokes if you can thanks

one prank she did was rap a rock in snow and through it at Tania.. and knock her out!

I have a few for you, AnastasiaMischief:
When she was younger, one day she crawled under the table during a meeting and started acting like a dog-until her father escorted her out.
Another time she was playing hide-and-seek (with Gleb Botkin, I believe) and she put her shoes behind the curtain to make it appear as if she was hiding there, and then retreated to the top of the stairs to watch the results....
When Alix had guests, Anastasia and Maria (if I remember correctly) would put the trumpet of their gramophone up to the wall and turn it up as high as they could...
Another time she convinced everyone on board the Standart to roller-skate on deck.
And let's not forget her pelting passers-by with paper wads along with her sister on the day war was declared!

Another time, she and her sisters snuck into their father's office. They heard him coming and I believe it was Anastasia who thought of climbing out the window!

About pranks, I'm not sure but I think Anastasia and one of her sisters, I think it was Olga locked a nasty girl in a room...Anyone knows the details? I can't remember very well...I'm not even sure if it was Anastasia but what I'm sure is that two of the Grand Duchesses did it.

What happened was Olga and Anastasia lured Katia's little girl, Trina down a dark passage way and pushed her into the WC. She was knocking and wailing behind the door but they were "implacable". Olga tells about it in a letter.

Yes! That's it's...poor Trina, must have felt quite frightened in that WC. She must have done something terrible to OA, for they to react in that way.

I wouldn't call this a prank or joke, but it was an interesting reply on Anastasia's part:

I believe it was a member of the palace staff whom, upon talking to Anastasia one day, remarked to her, "Anastasia Nicolaievna, you are pure gold!"
Her reply? "On the contrary-I'm plain, ordinary leather!"

For some reason, I don't quite understand Anastasia's reply of being made of ordinary leather. Can someone please explain to me the humor of her reply because my brain is not working for the moment

I think when nastya said she was made 'of plain, ordinary leather' she wasn't really trying to be funny. She was saying that she, herself, thought that she wasn't 'pure gold.' As Tsaritsa_of_Wolves said, it is an interesting reply, but not exactly one of her famous jokes. Kind of a grown-up thing to say for our shivbzik.
