4. Marriage and children...
Could there have been descendants / members of his family been placed into some monastries or have there been anybody living anywhere else? Does somebody know something?
I could imagine it might have been difficult for anybody living person to have that surname. Could the name have changed somehow?
I am aware of that my questions are completely crazy and I am a village idiot here!!!
To inject some humor into your inquiry: Who knows? Strange things of "direct descendants" appear here from time to time! The greatest "howler" recently that I can remember was a youngster who apparently felt that she had traced her direct descent from the mediaeval Saint Olga of Kiev as one of her grandmothers, and managed, IMO, to throw in a gobbledygook/mishmash of historical names in the so-called "lineage." No professionally published earlier supporting documentation cited, simply what appears to be a "cut and paste" use of Wikipedia/similiar Internet sources "raised to atomic power"! I sent the supposed lineage to friends that live near the largest city location to bring its attention to the local newspaper/s as a potential Sunday Supplement research story on something like "The Famous Among Us".
Of course, there was never a reply!
Then, there was the one who declared that "she had it all mapped out" and that through her father she was a direct descendent of a daughter of Mary Boleyn, "14th granddaughter," actually. The only problem is that Mary Boleyn seemingly did not have a daughter of the name through which the descent allegedly passed!
So, given these "authentic" examples, perhaps a "living descendant" of the honored St. Alexander Nevsky could be teased forth here, complete with published, verifiable inscribed parchment pedigrees, etc! Good luck! Regards, AP.
