Everyone's opinion on the identity of the person in this painting?

Well it certainly doesn't look like Marie as the seller claims......the fact that he/she called Alexei "Alexander" says enough to me about his/her reliability.  ::) I don't know who it is, but it's certainly not Marie.

To me it looks like either Queen Olga of Greece or Vera,Duchess von Wuerttemberg!What do you think?

Or maybe this question schould be put on more ''popular'' thread like ''Portraits of imperial family'' were I assume much more people will pay attention...and maybe we wil then have an answer!

Looks like Grand Duchess Maria Georgievna to me.  She was the wife of Grand Duke George Mikhailovich and mother of Xenia Leeds.  Her photo on pg. 52 of The Camera and the Tsars looks a lot like that painting.

It's absolutely definitely not Marie Feodorovna.  How anyone could have identified the woman as her is beyond me.  It looks nothing like her at all and the jewels aren't good enough to belong to a Dowager Empress.

Anyone else got any ideas?
