Prince Michael of Greece, the noted author, sent me a letter a few weeks ago congratulating Greg King and Penny Wilson for their great effort in writing GILDED PRISM.

In a telephone conversation I later had with HRH, he also mentioned that the book was simply "the best book I have read this year, even better than your reprint and update of Uncle Nicky's memoirs!"

Greg and Penny...I am delighted with this!

I realize this is an old topic.  I must add my two cents worth to this.  I ordered the book in December.  It was fascinating.  I was enthralled from the first page.  I couldn't put it down.  KR is my favorite Grand Duke.  It was wonderful to read more about him.  Dimitri who I knew so little about came alive through these pages.  It truly was a joy to read.

Thank you Greg, Penny and Art.

What a treasure.  I know I will read it many times.

My autographed copy of 'Gilded Prism' arrived here in England from Eurohistory last week. I can't wait to read it, but decided to start with 'A Poet among the Romanovs', which I am enjoying very much. The short extracts from Prince Vladimir's poems make me want to read them in their entirety, but they are so difficult to find.......  :(

Jorge Saenz did a fantastic job with his biography of Volodia Paley...and amazing tribute indeed...a labor of love!

When I visited Alapaievsk I brought a long with me about 12 copies of the book and left a copy with the museum director...she was ecstatic and thankful...for all of us there that day it was ana amazingly powerful experience!

I finished reading this last night.  Great book and I was particularly glad to see the authors dispel the myths about the mineshaft.  I did, however, find myself wanting to know more about KR's brother Dimitri.
