Thanks, Kmerov! :)

Who is the castle's owner now?
I know that a year before Countess Danner died she founded a Frederik 7.s Foundation for Charity. Is this foundation the castle owner?

Yes, the foundation still owns the castle and the estate. Part of the castle is a museum, and some of the buildings on the estate are still used as an orphanage, as wished by Countess Danner.

Two questions please.  (1).  When did Frederick VII grant HRH status to Christian IX's family it was either 1858 or 59.  He granted the family status as Princes and Princesses of Denmark in 1853.  (2).  Does anyone know the date of Prince Waldemar's christening?  (son of Christian IX).  Exact dates on both questions (if possible) would be appreicated.

1858  I found no record as to the exact date.  Prince Valdemar was born 27 October in 1858, so perhaps the Royal Highness was a "gift" to his parents in celebration of his birth?

Frederik VII granted the family the status on 21.December 1858. The HRH status was granted in connection with Prince Valdemars christening that month, but I don't know if it took place on the 21.december.

An upcoming book by Gete Bondo Oldenborg Maaloe says she is descended from an illegitimate son of his named  Frederik Carl Christian.
