Woolly's great-grandson died last year on Feb. 9.

HSH Prince Alexis zu Windisch-Graetz has died yesterday in San Sebastiano Hospital in Caserta, Italy, for the injuries suffered in a car crash he was involved in one week ago.

The 18-years-old Prince was driving his car in a street near to Sant’Angelo di Alife, a small town where his family owns a palace, the night of Thursday 4 February; due to the slippery road conditions, the driver of another car, a young girl, lost the control of her car that hit Alexis’ car. Alexis also lost the control of his car, violently crashing into a tree.

The Prince suffered of head and chest injuries, and underwent a delicate surgery for them; his conditions remained very grave, and he fell in a coma.

The girl involved in the accident with Alexis died instantly after the crash.

Prince Alexis Ferdinando zu Windisch-Graetz was born in Rome on 10 December 1991, the second son of Fürst Mariano Hugo zu Windisch-Graetz and his wife Fürstin Sophie, née Archduchess of Austria, the daughter of the late Archduke Ferdinand (nephew of Emperor Karl I) and Archduchess Helene, née Countess zu Toerring-Jettenbach (herself descendant from the Greek, Russian and Bavarian Royal Families).

The Prince is survived by his parents, his siblings Maximilian and Larissa, and his grandmother Archduchess Helene.

poor kids :( , has anyone heard of this?

That is very sad. It is coincidental too. One of Woolly's last public appearance was to attend her nephew, Prince Nicholas of Yugoslavia's funeral in England. Prince Nicholas of Yugoslavia also died from a car crash, was the second son of her eldest sister Princess Paul of Yugoslavia.

Think that was Grand Duchess Helen of Russia on the side.

Indeed. Fortunately, the commentary accompanying my photo says it's Elizabeth because I thought, at first glance, it was her  sister the Duchess of Kent. On many shots the two sisters are very much alike to the point that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish them. Even the press of the time it wrong sometimes.

Nice image, but what a crack ! She also looks a bit like Olga. In terms of style, they could be very similar...all 3 sisters.

Whose wedding is this?

I’m really not sure but I’m thinking it is Elisabeth in this picture (on the far left), not Marina.

I also think this is Marina because of the presence of the Windsors, so this may be primarily a British royals’ gathering, but the features of the woman in the left are more of Elisabeth… To me, I can tell if it’s Marina by looking at the cheeks — because Marina has prominent cheekbones. The woman on the left has none (or maybe this photo’s been edited). And I think that the man beside her is Count Toerring-Jettenbach~ Looks much like him.

We know that she and Marina resembled each other so much from certain angles, and were often confused with one another. So there might be a possibility that my speculation is correct? Kkk, if I’m wrong, it’s ok ^^
I’m thinking about this because I’m desperately looking for pictures of Elisabeth, so I viewed my folder of the Windsor’s photos and found this. Thank you very much for the clarification in advance. : )
P.S.  Her birthday has just recently passed — May 24 — and I’m very glad hers is one day ahead of mine! :D  I extremely love her and her sisters now that I terribly want to buy their mother’s photobook!

Amazing colored fotos  by the most wonderful Yelena Aleksandrovna. Endless thank you very much!
