I have Noblesse Russe: Portraits  # 1-4 but there are 6 volumes

I also have Romanov Fragments De Vie which is 150 photos of the family of Grand Duke Alexandre Mikhailovich

I know that M. Ferrand also did some volumes called Noblesse Russe: Portraits en L'exile      (Forgive me, I am not sure of my French.)

These volumes are not inexpensive.  Especially Noblesse Russe: Portraits.

Jacques was a very close friend of mine. Since 1997 we have sold more than 1000 copies of his books. Sadly, after his tragic death in 2007 there is no way to get whatever stock he had left.

I know that at Eurohistory.com we have copies left of the following:

1. Le Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovich de Russia

2. Fragments de Vie - Alexandre Mikhailovich

3. Il Est Toujours des Romanov

I just received Il Est Toujours Des Romanov from Art at Eurohistory.

It is a beautiful book.

I am lucky to have gotten it.

Thank you Art

I have each of the volumes.  I got 6 (I think) from Art and then a missing one on the internet (ebay I think, hard to remember now), they are fabulous books.  Art had obtained them from me and they were en route when Jacques Ferrand died.  I love all of Jacques' books.

For the previous poster, they are books of photographs of various aspects of Imperial Russia (nobility/houses/regiments etc) with a couple of sentences detailing the photo - the captions are in French but even a very basic knowledge will get you by.

I am still looking for an original of the book Jacques did on the Nabokov family if anyone comes across this at all, I have a copy but not an original.

I think the Noblesse Russe 1-6 are better than the 7th volume which is a "complement" to the others, but nevertheless the whole set is definitely worth the cost.

Art came up trumps for me in getting these, he put in a lot of effort and I am very thankful.

I want to pay a fair price, but this is such a giant ripp off. Probaly the seller is also a member of this board and know how desperate the people are and go very far to pay such prices.

Teddy, I would not be the least bit surprised if you are correct. Sadly, this is definitely a niche market with little chance of anything near mass marketing and lower prices. I have seen this sort of extortion several times here, even recently. To be fair to the sellers though, who knows what it cost them to begin with ? Especially if they are self-published.  Still, when I buy, I consider these factors and depending on price, shave off 20-30% before considering  an actual purchase.  Sometimes, hoverer, I  just say to hell with it and buy it regardless, although that is happening less frequently  with me now.

Thank you for sharing Robert. I sometimes think that this person thinks, that all members of this board are Royalty themselves and have all a bank account with 7 numbers in cash.
"If this a member of this board", maybe the person wants to reveal him/herself to us and tell us, why he/she takes such advantage of us members.
