I am not sure, but everyone says there is an index to the six volume set.  My book finder never mentioned it, but perhaps someone else here knows what it is.

Congratulations with your books. But for many of this board it is fortune to buy these books. 2,5 years ago I could buy every volume for EUR 63,50,- excl. shipping from France. But my company did it not so well on the market, so I could not afford to take the risk to buy the books with the possiblily that a month later I had other things on my mind.

SO is $150 now the standard price for the Noblesse Russe books? That's $1,000!!!! Holy crap. I understand the price of books go up after the author dies but weren't they pretty expensive before he died? What's so great about these book that they have to charge $150? is there a limited number?

I now have all six volumes and, yes, they have gone up.  At lot.

I was lucky and paid about $300 USD a piece for all but one.  That one I had to pay $900 USD for and that was just to complete the collection.  That included shipping and handling and in some cases a "finder's fee" and so I paid about $2400 for all six.

It took me over three years to get them all.  For some reason #4 seems to be more available than the others.

I started with #1,3,4.  Then I got #2 (the most expensive) and then finally #5,6.

I have been told I should insure them for about $3000 USD.

There are only 6 ? For some reason I thought there were more than that. I have 3 or 4 I think, do not want the others, except to say that if I found the Yussopovs at a reasonable price I would pick it up. Also, I do not think mine are number by vol #,  just  by subject. Which one is #2 ?

OK, I do not have that one, nor do I want it, especially at that price!

I turned down 5 & 6 the first time that my book finder called me because of the price, but it was hard not to complete the set, knowing that the set all together is worth more that its individual parts.

I really had to swallow hard at the price of $900 USD for #2.  My justification was that then all six were together, I could divide the entire price by 6 and each book then cost a more reasonable individual price.

I have never in my life bought any book or set that cost as much as these.  That is the reason for the insurance to cover loss.

I have, Alixz, more than once, and it is a scarey feeling.  "are you sure you are making the right decision"? sort of thing.
