Nicholas & Alix's bedroom oratory
« on: July 01, 2006, 10:51:43 PM »
Hello!  I've been wondering (I wonder about trivial details... :-? :-?) if anyone knows this:  I read that in Nicholas and Alix's bedroom the oratory was to the right of the bed, and the water closet to the left. Does this mean to the right and left facing the bed, or facing away from the bed?  Thanks!

One of those famous questions that I have also been wondering about ;D.

I assume that the watercloset was on the side of the bathroom/dressingroom and that the oratory was on the side of the Mauve Boudoir. :-?

Pers is right.  Bob got it wrong.  he used Lili Dehn's deswcription of the bedroom from "The Real Tsaritsa", which was in error or mis-translated.  It also says the bed was between the two windows looking out on the park... another mistake by Lili or her translator.  I think the wood is called lemonwood...  Lemonwood was used in the Mauve Room, not in the bedroom.
