Yes...Even so. On a personal level, I think Don Jamie had lived a sad and disapointed life. Half of it was circumstancial, but half of it he contribute himself.  :(

Are there any pictures of the late Alfonso, with or without his brother?

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

There are quite a few of them in Paul Preston's excellent bio on Juan Carlos.  ;)

Would that be Juan Carlos : steering Spain from dictatorship to democracy?  I ordered it from my library then-thanks!

There are quite a few lovely ones in YO: MARIA DE BORBON, the memoirs of the Countess of Barcelona, a book that I cannot but recommend as much as humanly possible!

We sold out.  Some of my luckier clients, who follow my recommendations on these matters, got copies of the book, others who did not, missed out.

During my last visit to Spain I could not find one copy!

Does anyone have any pictures of Infante Alfonso, who died so tragically?

Quite  alot as children. In the Baby Bee book, there is one of the two brothers posing with Infanta Eulalia!

No, Eric ;) LisaG talks about another infante Alfonso, the son of don Juan and doña María de las Mercedes who died so young. Our king Juan Carlos did shot to the head of his brother Alfonso when the two boys where playing with a gun...a tragical accident, I must say.

Lisa, I´ll try to find the pictures of Alfonso...

No...You are wrong. It was Juan Carlos and his brother Alfonso (the one who died in the accident) who stood with their Grand Aunt Eulalia.

You both speak about the same Infante.

It seems that Juan Carlos was close to his Aunt Bee (Baby Bee) too as there were photos of them togather in her home. The find of the brothers with Eulalie is real rare find. So glad I got that book...
